For a new project, a few lines on each of these helps us give you a useful first reply:
- What the software needs to do, and the problem it solves.
- Who will use it: staff, customers, or both, and roughly how many.
- Whether it is for the web, iPhone and Android, desktop, or a mix.
- Any existing systems it needs to work with.
- Any dates that matter, and a budget range if you have one.
